Hi. I'd like to submit a guest post about crowd funding vs. angel investors. I feel this article will be beneficial to your audience (the lost generation) especially in a time when the economy doesn't offer many of the traditional options for funding that it once did. Let me know if you're interested and how I can submit it! - Janelle

Hey Lance, dig the post. Great job and glad to hear the State Dept. job is going well. I have $0.02 to add...Point #6, if you will.

Liberal arts core curriculum at colleges and universities need to adapt to today's employment trends and do away with the studies of Dickens and the Bronte sisters. I'm talking, prepare students for the industries and jobs that are actually out there, paying money. You and I both know that it's hard to make a living as an English major these days. So replace those Lit courses with ones that teach AP Style guidelines and *cough* proper GRAMMAR USAGE.
Coding is relevant: this should be MANDATORY in liberal arts core curriculum. Same with courses that teach .ppt, Excel and MS Word.

I work in management consulting, an industry that is still growing and hiring, and can say that my liberal arts degrees---while enriching and eye-opening---did little to equip me with the functional skills (programs and best practices) and industry knowledge that I use every day in my job now. I wish college could have taught me about technical proposal writing and compliance matrices (and i KNOW you'd agree with that! ;)

There's a reason people say "Forget everything you learned in college."

In a perfect world, no one would say that.

Cheers.
